Station 2, located at 180 Main St., is home to Quint 21-2 and EMS 21-2. Both apparatus are responsible for providing fire and ems coverage to one of the cities most heavily populated areas, the 1st, 2nd and 3rd wards. The 1st, 2nd and 3rd wards are located on the cities Westside, it borders are the Chenango River to its' east, the Susquehanna River to its' south, the Binghamton/Johnson City line to its' west and most of the 1st Ward previously covered by Engine 6 to its' north. The Westside is mostly residential, but also has a significant number of businesses on its' main throughout fares, Main St. and Clinton St.. The Westside also has 5 schools, including Binghamton High School, a hospital and one of the cities largest parks in Recreation Park where several national event our held yearly, such as the Chris Thater Bike Race, the Levene, Gouldin & Thompson Tennis Challenger, which is apart of the USTA Pro Curcuit, and the Lee Barta Remembrance 5K Run in honor of Lee Barta, a Binghamton Patrolman killed in the line of duty. Quint 2 is manned by 3 personnel, an officer and 2 firefighters.
