Training Center

The training center was built in 2000 with the help of many individuals, with both contributions of their time and money,  and a grant obtained by Senator Libous.  This facility is also known as the Sullivan Training Center and was named in honor of TI James Sullivan who was killed in the line of duty. It is a regional training center mainly used by the Binghamton Fire Bureau, but also is used for some County level training classes as well.  The facility has a state of the art classroom and office building, and is staffed by Asst. Chief Rick Allen and Capt. John Colling who is tasked with overseeing the Bureau's EMS services.  There is also a 36' training tower that contains a standpipe, sprinkler, interior high rise style staircase, and attaches to a mask confidence and rescue simulator.  In that building is also a mock setup of the CPAT physical agility course that every firefighter must pass.  The training center also has a roof simulator and recently obtained a Burn trailer to perform live burn training in.  The fleet maintenance garage is also housed in the faculty as well and is staffed by a fulltime mechanic.
